Happy Fourth of July
Alexis de Tocqueville, the 19th century French historian and philosopher wrote: “America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”
These words echo those penned by King Solomon thousands of years earlier: “Righteousness exalts a nation” (Prov. 34:14).
As we celebrate God’s goodness to America this weekend, as we remember our brave servicemen and woman past and present, as we grill and enjoy time with family and friends, let’s remember that the greatest expression of patriotism is a godly character and witness undergirded by prayer for our nation and its leaders (1 Tim. 2:1-2).
On behalf of the General Council and the entire national Royal Rangers team, we are so proud of our Ranger leaders who embody responsible citizenship by “evangelizing, equipping, and empowering the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders.” What a legacy we are living and leaving!
